DXC Technology's Joint Bid

Shares of DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) jumped 11.48% on Monday and a further 4.34% in after-hours trading after a report suggested the company might get acquired.

Details: Reuters reported Monday that Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO) and Kyndryl Holdings (NYSE: KD) are discussing a joint bid to buy DXC. The offer could be between $22 and $25 per share, higher than the Monday close of $18.45.

  • The report also said that DXC wants to sell its insurance software unit for more than $2 billion and remain an independent company. DXC has not commented on the report.

Background: It’s been a rough year for the IT services company DXC. Revenue has fallen as enterprises cut back on IT spending due to high interest rates. 

Stock Price: The stock is down 19% this year, including a nearly 5% drop in the last 30 days.
