Dogecoin's Dog Days of Summer 🐶
On Monday, the cryptocurrency market saw a decline in the price of Dogecoin $DOGE.X ( ▼ 3.25% ) by about 9%, continuing a negative trend that has persisted for weeks.
Price Background: Dogecoin is down 22% since July 21. During that time, the prices of other cryptocurrencies have increased.
Details: On Monday, most crypto prices fell as the market reexamined the speech from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell at Jackson Hole on Friday. Many people say that Powell’s speech signaled complicated monetary policy conditions, which are bad for risky assets such as Dogecoin.
Also: There were technical indicators against Dogecoin on Monday, including a drop in open interest (a term used in options trading).
Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Dogecoin’s poor results since late July are the result of combined technical breakdowns, selling pressure, and macroeconomic volatility, despite periodic accumulation by whales (people who own a lot of crypto) and institutions.
Many Dogecoin traders sold after the July run-up, resulting in declining exchange inflows and lower volume.
Final Thoughts: These past few weeks show that Dogecoin can be volatile.
