Boeing's Growing Labor Crisis ✈️
Boeing’s $BA ( ▲ 0.77% ) promising year is about to get tested as union members who produce fighter jets for the company overwhelmingly rejected the latest contract offer on Sunday, which could lead to a potential work stoppage.
Powering the Story: A Boeing official reportedly told Reuters on Sunday that the company is preparing for a strike, which could happen as early as 7 days from now.
Stock Price: Boeing’s stock is in the middle of a comeback year with a 35.60% gain.
Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: While Boeing is currently experiencing growth and recovery, a strike by fighter jet manufacturing workers poses a serious risk to sustaining this momentum and could cause operational and financial disruptions.
A strike by fighter jet workers could disrupt Boeing’s production lines, especially in their defense division, potentially impacting deliveries and revenue from military contracts.
This threat recalls last year's Boeing strike, which caused significant financial losses and disrupted production.
Final Thoughts: Boeing reports financial earnings results on Tuesday.
His First Venture Sold for $120M – This Time is Different
Austin Allison is familiar with using tech to disrupt real estate – his first venture, dotloop, was acquired for $120M. But despite bringing industry fame, one nagging regret remained.
"I always wished we gave retail investors the chance to invest in dotloop and share that success," Allison later said.
Now he’s doing just that. Austin built upon that experience to launch Pacaso, the co-ownership marketplace disrupting the $1.3T vacation home industry. And it’s working.
They’ve surpassed $110M in gross profit to date, including 41% YoY growth last year. They’ve earned backing from firms like Maveron and Greycroft. They even reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO. And unlike dotloop, you can become an investor in Pacaso as a private company.
Invest today at $2.90/share.
