XRP's Washington Bet ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Cryptocurrency prices rallied Monday as markets supported favorable regulatory progress, with XRP $XRP ( โ–ฒ 0.17% ) jumping about 5%.

Details: Traders are positioning ahead of a U.S. Senate cloture vote today on the proposed crypto-industry-favorable CLARITY Act. The bill would establish a clearer federal framework for digital assets by allocating oversight between the SEC and CFTC.ย

Powering the Story: For XRP specifically, investors see progress as reducing the risk of regulation through an uncertain, enforcement-first approach.

Other Details: There were also more inflows on Monday into spot XRP ETFs (exchange-traded funds), which boosted the price.

Background: Mondayโ€™s rally hasnโ€™t entirely salvaged XRPโ€™s price, as it is down about 22% this year. But it does give XRP investors some hope if Washington provides a transparent framework for crypto.

Early Birdโ€™s Nest Egg Gains: XRP investors should not treat passage as the base case. The version now before the Senate may have improved its odds after revised ethics provisions, but it still faces a difficult 60-vote procedural hurdle today. Even clearing that hurdle would be only the beginning of a much longer legislative path.

Final Thoughts: Beyond XRP, most major crypto prices also jumped about 1% to 3% on Monday.
