Financials: Super Micro reported earnings of $5.59 per share in the past quarter and revenue of $3.66 billion; both were better than expected.

Powering the Story: On January 18, Super Mirco released preliminary financial results. Well, it turns out that its actual results on Monday surpassed those original projections from two weeks ago.

Outlook: The company also raised its revenue outlook for the full year.

Home appliances company Whirlpool (NYSE: WHR) posted good financial results on Monday but fell 4.87% in after-hours trading due to a weak outlook.

Financials: Whirlpool reported earnings of $3.85 per share in the past quarter and revenue of $5.08 billion; both were better than expected.

Outlook: The problem is that the company only expects sales of $16.9 billion, which is lower than anticipated.

Final Thoughts: Whirlpool, down 23% in the last 12 months, is struggling in this environment.

F5 Continues to Impress

Tech company F5 (Nasdaq: FFIV) jumped 9.04% in after-hours trading on Monday after posting good financial results.

Financials: F5 reported earnings of $3.43 per share in the past quarter and revenue of $692.5 million; both were better than expected.

Final Thoughts: The combination of good financial results and a good outlook helped F5 on Monday. The stock is up 27% in the last 12 months.
