Rocket Lab $RKLB ( ▲ 0.19% ), an aerospace manufacturer that is a rival to SpaceX $SPCX ( ▼ 0.91% ), announced Sunday the successful launch of eight advanced satellite platforms that the company built for MDA Space $MDA ( ▲ 1.15% ) .
Details: The satellite platforms are the first batch in a constellation of 17 platforms Rocket Lab has built for MDA Space. The satellites were launched on Saturday.

Alibaba's Clear AI Pivot
Amid a massive strategic pivot to artificial intelligence, Alibaba Group Holding $BABA ( ▲ 1.35% ) is reportedly about to offload one of its business units.
Details: Bloomberg reported on Sunday that the Chinese technology giant is selling Lingxi Games, its gaming arm, to private equity firm Trustar Capital in a deal worth at least $1.5 billion.
Background: Alibaba’s decision to sell its video game business makes sense in the context of the company’s pivot to AI. Last year, the company pledged over $53 billion for new AI infrastructure. It is focusing on its proprietary Qwen large language models, shifting toward monetization via cloud services, and embedding agentic AI directly into different ecosystems.
Final Thoughts: The AI pivot hasn’t benefited Alibaba’s shareholders so far. The stock is down 20.50% this year.
Hyperliquid Continues Recent Growth
As most cryptocurrency prices were flat on Sunday, Hyperliquid $HYPE ( ▲ 4.1% ) jumped about 2%. It is outperforming most other major cryptos this week with a 6% gain.
