Online travel company Airbnb $ABNB ( βΌ 0.56% ) jumped 7.84% in after-hours trading on Thursday after posting good financial earnings results and raising its outlook.
Financials: Airbnb reported earnings of $1.37 per share in the past quarter and revenue of $3.6 billion. Both were better than expected.
Details: Revenue increased 17%. Gross booking value grew 16%. Nights and seats booked jumped 10%.
Powering the Story: The results were so good that Airbnb raised its full-year outlook on Thursday for both revenue growth and adjusted EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization) margin. The company expects that margin to be at least 35.5%. In the current quarter, Airbnb forecasts revenue growth of 15% to 17%.
Early Birdβs Nest Egg Gains: Airbnbβs revised guidance is achievable with a reasonable chance of modest upside if booking growth persists through the fall.
Final Thoughts: Airbnbβs stock is up a modest 14% this year, but most of the gain has come in the previous two months.

The Trade Desk $TTD ( βΌ 6.8% ) plunged 24.32% in after-hours trading on Thursday after the marketing technology company posted bad financial earnings results.
Financials: The Trade Desk reported earnings of 34 cents per share in the past quarter and revenue of $715 million. Both were lower than expected.
