The e-commerce company Wayfair $W ( ▲ 3.43% ) jumped 1.01% in after-hours trading on Monday after announcing a new partnership with Google parent Alphabet $GOOGL ( ▲ 1.11% ).
Details: The new partnership revolves around shopping features. Wayfair co-developed Google’s Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP), an open standard meant to improve online shopping with artificial intelligence agents.
The UCP standard will power checkouts on some Google product listings, allowing shoppers to check out directly from Wayfair without leaving Google.
