Super Micro Computer $SMCI ( ▲ 7.01% ) surged 20.58% in after-hours trading on Tuesday after the technology company released preliminary financials that show a better future.

Details: The company disclosed that its backlog rose to record levels, with total new orders exceeding $60 billion during the quarter. Those new orders will be delivered in future periods.

Financials: Super Micro also announced on Tuesday that it expects gross margins to be in the range of 15% to 17%, higher than its previous outlook of 8.2% to 8.4%, due to favorable customer and product mix.

Background: The stock had been down over 17% in 2026.
