Tesla Temporary Suspends Shanghai Plant

Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) wants to temporarily suspend production at its Shanghai factory for at least one day, according to a report on Sunday by Bloomberg.

Details: The report, which has not been confirmed by Tesla yet, says that the factory will be shut down for at least Monday, with plans to extend the suspension beyond that.

Background: Amid surging Covid-19 infections, Shanghai announced plans on Sunday to initiate shutdowns in the city.

Numbers: Shares of Tesla are up 16% in the past 30 days and up nearly 30% in the past six months.

Final Thoughts: Tesla is also trying to compete in China, which is home to other growing electric vehicle makers as well.

Is the Flattening Yield Curve All Bad?

Looking at the current flattening yield curve, is this all bad for investors?

Definition: A flattening yield curve refers to there being no discernible change in rates between short-term and long-term bonds. It is a popular economic indicator for investors.

Labor: While there is a flat yield curve, parts of the economy are still strong. This includes the robust labor market.

Slowdown: Economists see activity slowing down at some point this year.
