Going Alternative: Rose also said that investing in franchises, as well as other alternatives, is becoming more important, especially given the stock market this year.

Electronics contract manufacturer Foxconn Technology (TPE: 2354) said Tuesday that it is bullish about its supply chain capabilities in the second half of 2022.

Details: Chairman Liu Young-way said during the company’s annual shareholder meeting that Foxconn is “confident in the stability” of its supply chain for the second half of the year.

Cars: Liu also told shareholders that Foxconn wants to be the first electric vehicle maker that is “not short on material supplies.”

Background: Pandemic lockdowns in China have decimated electronics supply chains. Some of it seems to be easing now, which is good news for any electronics maker that does business in the country.

Numbers: Shares of Foxconn are down 16% in the past six months and down over 8% in the past 30 days.

Final Thoughts: While Foxconn is a leading electronics maker, pandemic lockdowns could still weigh the company down.

Why Crypto Plunged in 2022

It’s been a bad year so far for most cryptocurrencies. What are some of the reasons behind this awful drop?

Macro Factors: The ongoing war in Europe has been a drag on crypto, as well as inflation.

Tied Together: More importantly, crypto is increasingly being seen as a risky investment option similar to certain growth technology stocks. And in case you haven’t noticed, it’s been a bad year for growth stocks in tech.

Final Thoughts: Hopefully the market shakes off the crypto winter and has a solid crypto summer.
