In 2025, the cybersecurity company Palo Alto Networks $PANW ( ▲ 1.05% ) is up 12.47% and hit an all-time high at one point.

Rumor has it that Palo Alto Networks is in talks to acquire its rival SentinelOne $S ( ▲ 0.46% ) . But before you start imagining a new cybersecurity powerhouse, remember that acquisitions can be tricky. Integration risks are real, and management might find themselves juggling more than they bargained for. 

This week, Jefferies Financial Group boosted Palo Alto Networks' target price from $225.00 to $235.00, citing strong cybersecurity spending. However, let's not forget that the stock's valuation is stretched. So, while the price boost is encouraging, it might be wise to keep a skeptical eye on those numbers.
