Microsoft’s Billion-Dollar AI Pact

An artificial intelligence infrastructure company surged 44.40% in after-hours trading on Monday after announcing a multi-billion-dollar agreement with Microsoft $MSFT ( ▲ 0.65% ) .

Details: Nebius Group $NBIS ( ▼ 2.15% ) (it’s OK if you haven’t heard of this company before) said through the agreement, it will deliver dedicated capacity to Microsoft from its new data center starting later this year.

Quote: “The economics of the deal are attractive in their own right, but, significantly, the deal will also help us to accelerate the growth of our AI cloud business even further in 2026 and beyond.” - Nebius CEO Arkady Volozh.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: The Nebius deal is highly significant for Microsoft because it secures long-term access to dedicated GPU infrastructure, helping Microsoft overcome key supply constraints in the AI hardware market and further scale its Azure cloud and generative AI services.

Planet Labs Surges and Falls

The Earth imaging company Planet Labs $PL ( ▲ 47.93% ) surged 47.93% on Monday after posting good financial results, then crashed back down 12.01% in after-hours trading.

Financials: Planet Labs reported a loss of 3 cents per share in the past quarter and revenue of $73.4 million. Both were better than expected.

Powering the Story: The stock fell in after-hours trading because the company announced a $300 million private offering of convertible senior notes. These types of offerings raise concerns about a company’s financial health and introduce the risk of equity dilution.

Final Thoughts: Planet Labs is having a great year. The stock is up 143%.

Hyperliquid’s Stablecoin Buzz

The price of the cryptocurrency Hyperliquid jumped about 7% on Monday.

Details: Investors are excited about USDH, a native U.S. dollar-pegged stablecoin on Hyperliquid that is soon to launch.

Final Thoughts: Hyperliquid’s price has nearly doubled since the start of 2025.
