Lululemon's Tariff Struggles 🗺️

Despite posting strong earnings results on Tuesday, Lululemon Athletica $LULU ( ▼ 0.4% ) fell 1.72% in after-hours trading.

Financials: Lululemon reported earnings of $5.01 per share in the past quarter and revenue of $3.6 billion. Both were better than expected.

Details: While international revenue jumped 17%, it was a different story for the Americas, which is Lululemon’s largest market. This business unit saw a 4% decrease in revenue.

Background: These mixed results come as Lululemon’s stock has lost half its value in the last 12 months.

Powering the Story: Adding insult to injury, Lululemon released a 2026 outlook on Tuesday that disappointed investors. The company expects growth of just 2% to 4% in the year, with earnings per share in the range of $12.10 to $12.30.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Lululemon is guiding to a tougher 2026 because its core U.S. business is stalling, tariffs are squeezing margins, and execution/leadership risk is rising just as growth slows.

  • New U.S. tariffs on imports are expected to hit gross profit by potentially over $300 million in 2026, according to CNBC.

Final Thoughts: Also on Tuesday, Lululemon announced that Chip Bergh, former president and CEO of Levi Strauss & Co., is joining its board of directors.
