Investing Like Wealthy People

Where are ultra-high-net-worth individuals investing? Travis Forman, the portfolio manager of strategic private wealth at Harbourfront Wealth Management, explains in a new episode of the Early Bird podcast.

Details: Ultra-high net worth investors seek opportunities outside of public equities, such as private real estate and private equity, according to Forman.

Pros and Cons: Forman says that private investments have a lower correlation to stocks, which is good during a down year. But private investments are usually not liquid.

And: Average investors can access these private market investments today. Forman said that the portfolio allocation for alternative investments depends on the risk tolerance of the investor and the time horizon for when the investor needs the money.

Final Thoughts: What advice does Forman have for investing just like ultra-high net worth investors? Find out by listening to a new episode of the Early Bird podcast.
