Details: Google doesn’t have to sell Chrome or Android, according to the latest developments on Tuesday. The company will have to share some search data with rivals to avoid a monopoly, but at least it gets to keep Chrome.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Google Chrome is extremely important to Google's business, though it does not generate direct revenue from users as it is a free product. 

  • It links Google's advertising business with its other major online services, enabling Google to deliver highly targeted advertisements, which constitute the lion's share of Google's revenue, about 80%. 

Final Thoughts: Shares of Apple $AAPL ( ▲ 3.81% ) , which has a partnership with Google, jumped 2.97% in after-hours trading.

Zscaler's Highest Margin Ever

Shares of Zscaler $ZS ( ▼ 1.45% ) lifted 1.54% in after-hours trading on Tuesday after the cloud security company posted better-than-expected financial earnings results.

Financials: Zscaler reported earnings of 89 cents per share and revenue of $719.2 million in the past quarter. Both were better than expected.

Quote: “We had an outstanding Q4, in which we achieved a new milestone of more than $3 billion of Annual Recurring Revenue while achieving our highest ever operating margin for a quarter.” - Jay Chaudhry, Chairman and CEO of Zscaler.

Outlook: The company projects revenue to be between $772 million to $774 million in the current quarter and earnings per share to be between 85 cents to 86 cents. Both projections were better than what analysts had predicted.

Final Thoughts: Zscaler was already up over 51% this year.

Solana Alpenglow’s Approval Vote

The price of the cryptocurrency Solana $SOL.X ( ▲ 2.79% ) jumped about 4% on Tuesday after a vote regarding a major upgrade passed with wide support.

Details: Ninety-eight percent of the Solana community voted “yes” to enact the Alpenglow consensus protocol.

Definition: The Alpenglow consensus protocol is an upgrade that is said to make the Solana network faster for users and investors.

Final Thoughts: Solana is up about 28% in the last 30 days.
