Who Killed Ford's EV Dream? 🔋
The executive who led Ford Motor’s $F ( 0.0% ) push into electric vehicles is exiting the company, according to an announcement that sent the stock down 0.37% in after-hours trading on Wednesday.
Details: Doug Field, Ford’s chief EV officer, has elected to leave the company next month after nearly five years at Ford. The news was part of a broader announcement of a new restructuring of the company's product creation and industrialization. COO Kumar Galhotra will lead the new organization.
Background: In December, Ford said it would take a $19.5 billion write-off as part of a pivot away from its EV plans.
Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Ford’s EV chief leaving is bad because it adds more uncertainty to a division that is already losing a lot of money and being reshaped again. It signals strategy changes, internal disruption, and doubts about progress.
Final Thoughts: Ford was already down nearly 5% this year.
7 Stocks That Will Be Magnificent in 2026

But here's the real question…
Which companies share those same traits — global scale, accelerating growth, expanding cash flow — but are still early enough to deliver outsized returns?
Our new report reveals 7 stocks positioned to be the next generation of market leaders — from companies powering AI infrastructure… to those reshaping energy, enterprise software, and next-gen computing.
