Crypto Theft Surges - How to Protect Your Crypto
Cryptocurrency thefts increased 54% in the first three quarters of 2024, according to a new report from Hack3d.
Details: The report showed that private key compromises were particularly vulnerable to attacks.
Bigger Picture: The general public is becoming more educated and comfortable with cryptocurrencies. There are many bad actors who are frighteningly aware of that and they’ll be looking for new victims entering the marketplace.
Solution: Use CryptoLaptops™ from Calix Solutions, which are designed to buy, sell, and store cryptocurrencies in a safe and secure manner.
Ethereum’s Spring Struggles 📉
The turbulent spring season for Ethereum was on display Tuesday, with the cryptocurrency price dropping to a 30-day low.
Price: Ethereum’s price is up 22% this year, but is down 27% since March 11.
What’s Happening: Bearish sentiment for a spot Ethereum ETF (exchange-traded fund) approval in the United States seems to be the culprit. Spot Bitcoin ETFs received approval in the U.S. in January, which boosted the crypto markets.
A recent report suggested that regulators plan to deny spot Ethereum ETFs.
Definition: A spot ETF is a direct investment in a specific asset, such as Ethereum. It is different than a futures product, which is a bet on Ethereum contracts.
Final Thoughts: Most crypto prices have also been down since March due to negative sentiments concerning interest rates.
