Circle's National Digital Bank šŸ’°

Following its mega initial public offering in June, the financial technology and stablecoin company Circle Internet Group $CRCL ( ā–² 0.48% ) is now applying for a national trust charter.

Details: Circle announced on Monday that it applied to establish a national trust bank called First National Digital Currency Bank, N.A.

Powering the Story: If approved, First National Digital Currency Bank would be authorized to operate as a federally regulated bank and would offer blockchain-related products to clients. It would also strengthen the company’s cryptocurrency stablecoin, USDC.
