Bitcoin's Wall Just Cracked πŸš€

It’s been a year to forget for Bitcoin $BTC ( β–² 1.03% ), with the price losing a big chunk of its value, but the most popular cryptocurrency is suddenly turning things around in the middle of August.

Background: Bitcoin has surged about 25% in the past week, resulting in August being one of the few bright spots for Bitcoin in 2026. In fact, it hit $80,000 in value on Monday, the first time it reached that level since May.

Bigger Picture: The recent comeback can be traced back to the United States Department of the Treasury, which eased a bond-market stress point. A few days ago, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the department would at least double buybacks of longer-dated government bonds. This weakened the dollar and boosted risky assets, such as crypto.

Also: The White House pushed for Congress to pass the crypto-industry-favored CLARITY ACT in August. Net inflows for spot Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) recently rose.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Bitcoin’s August rebound has real support, including renewed spot-ETF demand, but the durability test is whether flows persist and Bitcoin can hold its breakout zone rather than merely squeeze through resistance.

Final Thoughts: Bitcoin is still down about 8% in 2026, but this recovery is giving investors new hope.
