Benefits of Commodity Investing
With commodity-based investments soaring, here are some of the top benefits of investing in these markets.
Diversification: Investors often turn to commodities, including gold and oil, as a hedge for their portfolios. Most commodities have a negative correlation to the stock market, meaning commodities go up when stocks go down.
Limit Volatility: Each commodity's price is independent, thus limiting potential volatility in an investment portfolio.
Inflation Protection: Commodities can provide protection during times of inflation, such as right now.
Final Thoughts: Another advantage is that commodities give investors exposure to new areas of potential growth.
