Details: AMC distributed the film “The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” over the weekend. The movie celebrates the release of Swift's 12th album, “The Life of a Showgirl.” This was the only weekend that the movie was in theaters.

Stock Price: The smash hit for AMC’s distribution unit comes as the stock for AMC is down 23.88% this year.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: AMC's stock is having a rough year due to several persistent and worsening challenges.

  • The company has faced weak box office trends, massive dilution of existing shareholders, heavy debt, and an industry that hasn't fully recovered from the pandemic.

Final Thoughts: Despite the challenges in 2025, AMC’s stock has increased by 11% over the past 30 days. Maybe a little Taylor Swift box office magic can boost the stock?

Bitcoin Reaches All-Time High

The price of Bitcoin $BTC.X ( ▲ 1.24% ) reached an all-time high of $125,000 on Sunday, surpassing its prior record from August, marking another historic peak for the cryptocurrency.

Details: This new all-time high comes as spot Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) recorded weekly net inflows of around $3.24 billion, according to CoinDesk. That means more investors are betting on Bitcoin.

Powering the Story: A big reason for this new record is the U.S. government shutdown. This created heightened economic uncertainty, prompting investors to seek safety in Bitcoin as a hedge against instability and concerns over dollar debasement.

Also: It’s “Uptober,” a term in the crypto world that refers to historical digital currency prices jumping in October.

Final Thoughts: What’s the next big milestone for Bitcoin? $130,000?
