Amazon Suspends Cargo Carrier
Amazon $AMZN ( ▼ 1.26% ) is reportedly suspending operations with 21 Air, the cargo carrier that operated the company’s plane that crashed in Miami in September, killing five people.
Details: The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that Amazon notified 21 Air leadership of the decision.
Background: On September 6, the Amazon-branded aircraft, operated by 21 Air, crashed while landing at Miami International Airport. Five people were killed, and five others were injured in the crash. The news attracted national headlines and caused a stir in the market.
Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Amazon will need to move shipments previously carried by 21 Air onto other carriers, other Amazon Air aircraft, truck routes, commercial air cargo capacity, or later delivery cutoffs.
For Amazon shareholders, this is primarily a reputational, execution, and uncertainty risk. It is not yet an identifiable earnings event.
Investors should watch out for the NTSB preliminary findings, FAA action, Amazon disclosures, whether the pause becomes permanent, and Prime-related customer metrics and fulfillment costs.
Final Thoughts: Amazon’s stock is up 13.37% in 2026, though it dipped slightly after last week’s plane crash.
Blu Dot surpasses 2,000% ROAS with self-serve CTV ads
Home furniture brand Blu Dot blew up on CTV with help from Roku Ads Manager. Here’s how:
After a test campaign reached 211,000 households and achieved 1,010% ROAS, the brand went all in to promote its annual sales event. It removed age and income constraints to expand reach and shifted budget to custom audiences and retargeting, where intent was strongest.
The results speak for themselves. As Blu Dot increased their investment by 10x, ROAS jumped to 2,308% and more page-view conversions surpassed 50,000.
“For CTV campaigns, Roku has been a top performer,” said Claire Folkestad, Paid Media Strategist, Blu Dot. “Comping to our other platforms, we have seen really strong ROAS… and highly efficient CPMs, lower than any other CTV partner we've worked with.”
Using Roku Ads Manager, the campaign moved from a pilot to a permanent performance engine for the brand.
