Guess?'s Customer Traffic Slows
Despite posting better-than-expected financial earnings results on Thursday, shares of the clothing company Guess? $GES ( ▼ 0.98% ) fell 4.08% in after-hours trading.
Financials: Guess? reported earnings of $1.48 per share and revenue of $932 million; both were better than expected.
Quote: “During the year, we delivered solid results with our licensing segment and our wholesale businesses in Europe and the Americas, but missed our plans for our direct-to-consumer business due to slower customer traffic in North America and Asia.” - CEO Carlos Alberini.
Details: The 2025 financial outlook was also a bit disappointing. Guess? plans on closing underperforming stores and it is bringing on a new CFO.
Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Guess?'s direct-to-consumer (DTC) business is currently underperforming due to several challenges.
Consumers increasingly want personalized, engaging experiences and seamless omnichannel shopping options. Guess? appears to be struggling to meet these expectations in its DTC channels.
The company’s customer base has become more price-sensitive.
Final Thoughts: The stock was already down 68% in the last 12 months. When will things get better?

Solana Plunges to 2025 Low
Thursday was bad for cryptocurrency investments, especially Solana $SOL.X ( ▲ 4.51% ) , which fell about 11% to reach its lowest value in 2025. It’s the lowest price for Solana in over 12 months.
Background: Solana, like most crypto prices, fell on Thursday thanks to the new tariffs from President Trump. Risky assets are not desirable for investors during times of economic uncertainty.
Also: According to Cointelegraph, Solana’s funding rates turned negative on Thursday, which means any previous bullish momentum has weakened.
Details: It also seems that a large holder of crypto reportedly deposited 12,000 Solana tokens to the Binance platform this week, which resulted in selling pressure.
Final Thoughts: Despite the recent selloff, institutional investors still believe strongly in Solana. Will average retail investors join their optimism?
GameStop Jumps After CEO Buys More Stock
Shares of GameStop $GME ( ▼ 0.43% ) jumped 2.70% in after-hours trading on Thursday after it was disclosed that CEO Ryan Cohen bought an additional 500,000 shares.
Final Thoughts: GameStop is down 31% since the start of the year.
