United Airlines' Sales Decline

Depending too much on customer loyalty caused mixed financial earnings results for United Airlines $UAL ( ▲ 0.87% ) on Wednesday, with the stock dropping 1.84% in after-hours trading.

Financials: United Airlines reported earnings of $2.78 per share in the past quarter, which were better than expected. But the revenue was only $15.2 billion, which was lower than expected.

Details: The company banked on loyalty and high-end customers in the quarter. Revenue for the loyalty business jumped 9% and premium cabin revenue rose 6%.

Powering the Story: Passenger revenue per available seat mile fell 3.3% for domestic flights and 7.1% for international flights. To make matters worse, these declines occurred in the busy summer travel season.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: United Airlines' revenue dropped due to a combination of increased competition from low-fare carriers, overcapacity in the market, and related pressure on ticket prices.

Final Thoughts: The stock had been up 9% this year, but flat in the past month.

Wyoming is on the Verge of Becoming A Lithium Powerhouse

America needs 5X more lithium by 2035, but no new mines have opened since 1967. Meanwhile, current extraction methods are slow, waste insane amounts of water, and emit loads of carbon.

So Vero3 devised a way to cleanly produce lithium, generate clean water and permanently store carbon in the process – all from the same 14,000-acre Wyoming site.

This unique project offers exposure to three different markets, each covering a critical need for America. And shares are now open to the public ahead of commercial trials and a targeted 2028 Nasdaq IPO.
