Texas Instruments’ Weak Forecast
Although Texas Instruments $TXN ( ▲ 0.16% ) posted good financial earnings results on Tuesday, the semiconductor company plunged 11.87% in after-hours trading due to a poor forecast.
Financials: Texas Instruments reported earnings of $1.41 per share and revenue of $4.45 billion in the past quarter. Both were better than expected.
Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: The company’s weak forecast for the current quarter was the product of a combination of muted demand from end customers, global trade and tariff disruptions, lackluster sectoral recovery in automotive/industrial markets, and a general hesitance to commit to more optimistic projections amid economic and supply chain uncertainty.
Final Thoughts: Before these results, the stock was up 14.86% in 2025.
