Targeting Gold Value Gaps in a Surging Market

Axcap Ventures (CSE: AXCP | OTC: GARLF)

Axcap Ventures Inc. is a Canadian-listed investment issuer focused on investments in strategic, early-stage gold assets. As gold prices hit new highs and institutional demand accelerates, Axcap is acquiring in-ground ounces at a fraction of historic developer valuations—positioning itself to benefit from a dislocated gold equity market.

Key Highlights:

  • ~8M ounces of gold exposure across Converse (Nevada) and Rattlesnake Hills — acquired at <$4/oz on average.

  • Flagship: Converse Project in Nevada with 5.57Moz Measured & Indicated — one of the largest undeveloped resources in the U.S.

  • Gold is up ~70% in 15 months — but early-stage equities like Axcap remain overlooked.

  • $3.05M investor awareness campaign now underway to drive visibility across North America and Europe.

  • Trading at $0.18/share with a market cap of C$52.3M — making it one of the lowest-cost gold developers on the market.

Tesla's China Rival BYD Grows Sales

As Tesla’s $TSLA ( ▲ 0.46% ) business in China struggles, its rival BYD $BYDDF ( ▲ 3.66% ) posted strong May sales numbers on Sunday.

Details: China-based BYD said it sold 382,000 vehicles in May. Of those vehicles sold, 204,000 were electric and 172,000 were plug-in hybrids. This represents a 15% increase in sales since last year and the best month of the year for the automaker.

Yes, But: A big reason behind BYD’s sales surge is that the company slashed prices in May. In some cases, the discounts were 30% or more.

Background: Tesla's sales in China have been weak in 2025. From January to April, retail sales were essentially flat year-on-year.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: BYD's strong sales growth in May 2025 is a clear negative for Tesla in China, intensifying the competitive pressure in the world's largest electric vehicle market.

  • Tesla faces mounting challenges as BYD's price cuts force other automakers to respond, squeezing profit margins for the entire sector.

  • BYD's growth is not limited to China. It has also recently overtaken Tesla in EV sales in Europe for the first time.

Final Thoughts: Tesla’s stock is down 8% this year while BYD’s stock is up 48%.

Dogecoin Suffers Late May Slump

The price of the cryptocurrency Dogecoin $DOGE.X ( ▲ 0.41% ) ticked up 1% on Sunday following one of the worst weeks of the year for the so-called meme coin.

Details: Dogecoin is down 15% in the last week of May, which was the worst performance among major cryptos during that time.

Powering the Story: Dogecoin’s late May slump happened because of several reasons. Macro uncertainties have forced investors to stay away from risky assets such as Dogecoin. Historically, this time of the year has been bad for Dogecoin. And Elon Musk stepping away from involvement in Trump’s "DOGE" government initiative is hurting the price.

Final Thoughts: Dogecoin is down 38% in 2025.

Samsung’s Potential Perplexity Deal

Samsung Electronics $SSNLF ( ▼ 3.18% ) might be involved in a new partnership with a growing AI company.

Details: Bloomberg reported on Sunday that Samsung is nearing a deal to invest in Perplexity and partner with the AI provider. The partnership includes preloading Perplexity’s app and assistant on upcoming Samsung devices, according to the report.

Final Thoughts: This could give Samsung’s stock a boost. It is up about 6% in 2025.
