Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA) announced Sunday that the company produced over 365,000 vehicles and delivered over 343,000 vehicles in the third quarter.

What it Means: The number of vehicles produced was better than expected, but the number of vehicle deliveries in the quarter was below estimates.

Challenges: As production volume grows, Tesla made it clear on Sunday that “it is becoming increasingly challenging to secure vehicle transportation capacity and at a reasonable cost during these peak logistics weeks.”

Solutions: Tesla added that it is transitioning to a more even regional mix of vehicle builds each week.

Stock Price: Shares of Tesla are down 33% in 2022, but are only down 3% in the last 30 days.
