Intel $INTC ( ▼ 1.18% ) investors rejoice! The struggling chipmaker named Lip-Bu Tan as its new CEO on Wednesday, sending shares up 10.44% in after-hours trading.
Details: Tan, an accomplished technology leader who is the former CEO of Cadence Design Systems, starts the role on March 18. He will be tasked with staging a comeback at Intel. The stock is down over 50% in the last 12 months.

Adobe’s Outlook Disappoints
Investors didn’t care much for Adobe’s $ADBE ( ▲ 1.08% ) record revenue in the quarter. The company reported financials on Wednesday and the stock fell 4.02% in after-hours trading.
Financials: Adobe reported earnings of $5.08 per share and revenue of $5.71 billion in the past quarter; both were better than expected. The revenue was a record.
Outlook: The problem is that Adobe only expects earnings per share to be between $4.95 to $5.00 in the current quarter.
Final Thoughts: It’s a bad look for Adobe. The stock is negative for the year.
American Eagle Outfitters Faces “Uncertain” Landscape
Clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters $AEO ( ▼ 2.23% ) fell 5.15% in after-hours trading on Wednesday after posting concerning financial earnings results.
Financials: American Eagle reported earnings of 54 cents per share in the past quarter, which was better than expected. Revenue was $1.6 billion, which was in-line.
Powering the Story: The company complained in its earnings report about going “through an uncertain consumer and operating landscape” and facing headwinds.
Final Thoughts: The stock was down 33% in 2025.
