Intel Sells Mobileye Shares 🚘

Autonomous driving company Mobileye Global $MBLY ( ▲ 1.25% ) fell 2.31% in after-hours trading on Tuesday after announcing a secondary offering of shares.

Details: Intel Overseas Funding Corporation, a subsidiary of Intel $INTC ( ▲ 7.23% ) , is selling 45 million shares of Mobileye’s Class A common stock to the public in a secondary public offering.

Also: Separately, Mobileye will buy $100 million worth of its own Class A shares directly from Intel — at the same price investors are paying in the public offering. Meanwhile, Intel also plans to convert 50 million of its Class B shares into Class A shares.

Background: Intel acquired Mobileye in 2017 and made Mobileye a subsidiary. Mobileye then went public in 2022. Intel remains the majority owner of Mobileye.

Stock Price: Mobileye’s stock is down 6.89% in 2025. It is also down nearly 31% since its initial public offering.

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Mobileye's stock is down in 2025 due to a combination of weak financial performance, cautious outlooks, and competitive pressures.

  • The company’s 2025 outlook is lower than what analysts had projected.

  • Mobileye is also under pressure in China, where local competitors offer similar self-driving technology at lower prices.

Final Thoughts: Meanwhile, Intel is having a rebound year. The stock is up 16.67% in 2025.
