BigBear.ai Faces "Disruptions"

BigBear.ai $BBAI ( ▼ 0.7% ) plunged 29.34% (ouch!) in after-hours trading on Monday after the company, which provides AI tech for the defense sector, reported bad financial results.

Financials: BigBear.ai reported a loss of 71 cents per share and revenue of $32.5 million in the past quarter. Both were lower than expected.

Powering the Story: The company pulled its adjusted EBITDA guidance for the year on Monday, citing “uncertainty on certain Army programs” and “disruptions in federal contracts from efficiency efforts this quarter.”

Early Bird’s Nest Egg Gains: Removing financial guidance in the face of contract disruptions indicates BigBear.ai faces unpredictable headwinds in its core business, magnifying concerns about its financial health and future growth prospects.

Final Thoughts: The stock had previously been up 72% this year.

Big investors are buying this “unlisted” stock

When the founder who sold his last company to Zillow for $120M starts a new venture, people notice. That’s why the same VCs who backed Uber, Venmo, and eBay also invested in Pacaso.

Disrupting the real estate industry once again, Pacaso’s streamlined platform offers co-ownership of premier properties, revamping the $1.3T vacation home market.

And it works. By handing keys to 2,000+ happy homeowners, Pacaso has already made $110M+ in gross profits in their operating history.

Now, after 41% YoY gross profit growth last year alone, they recently reserved the Nasdaq ticker PCSO.

ZipRecruiter's New Stock Buyback

ZipRecruiter $ZIP ( ▼ 12.78% ) jumped 11.49% in after-hours trading on Monday after posting good financial results and increasing its stock buyback program by $100 million to boost the stock price.

Financials: ZipRecruiter reported revenue of $112.2 million in the past quarter. It was better than expected.

Solana Left Out of Crypto Rally

It’s been a great week for cryptocurrency prices, with some double-digit percentage gains, except for Solana $SOL.X ( ▼ 4.33% ) .

Price: On Monday, Solana’s price fell about 4%. Despite the strong crypto rally over the last week, Solana is lagging behind other digital assets.

Powering the Story: Attention in the crypto market has recently swung toward Ethereum $ETH.X ( ▲ 0.47% ) , resulting in more investors buying ETH. This shift has left Solana in a holding pattern, with some traders diverting capital away from SOL and into ETH and other trending assets.

Final Thoughts: Can Solana catch up to the other cryptos?
