Apple's "Most Innovative Lineup"

Shares of Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) jumped 5.04% in after-hours trading on Thursday after the technology giant posted great earnings.

Financials: Apple’s earnings hit $2.10 per share and revenue reached $123.9 billion in the quarter; both were better than expected.

Growth Drivers: It was a record quarter for Apple, with revenue for iPhones, Macs, and wearables hitting new all-time highs. The company’s gross margin was up, as well as sales in China. Apple also has increased its cash on hand.

Quote: ‘This quarter’s record results were made possible by our most innovative lineup of products and services ever. We are gratified to see the response from customers around the world at a time when staying connected has never been more important.” - Apple CEO Tim Cook.

Glass Half Empty: There are a few negatives, however. Services revenue was up, but not by that much. iPad sales were not that good.

Final Thoughts: Apply sounds confident that it can overcome the global chip shortage in 2022.
