Intel’s Booming AI Demand 🚀
Technology giant Intel $INTC ( ▲ 3.36% ) jumped 7.71% in after-hours trading on Thursday after posting strong financial earnings results.
Financials: Intel reported earnings of 23 cents per share in the past quarter and revenue of $13.7 billion. Both were better than expected.
Details: Revenue grew 3%. While Intel’s Foundry business declined 2% year-over-year, revenue for the company’s client computing group jumped 5%.

Ford Expects Fire Headwind
The Ford Motor Company $F ( ▼ 0.72% ) posted good financial earnings results on Thursday, which sent the stock up 2.59% in after-hours trading.
Financials: Ford reported earnings of 45 cents per share in the past quarter and revenue of $47.1 billion. Both were better than expected.
Powering the Story: On Thursday, the company also lowered its financial outlook for the year due to a fire at the Novelis aluminum plant in September. Ford expects a headwind of up to $1 billion because of the fire.
Quote: “We are working intensively with Novelis and others to source aluminum that can be processed in the cold rolling section of the plant that remains operational while also working to restore overall plant production.” - CEO Jim Farley.

Newmont’s Free Cash Flow
Despite posting good financial earnings results on Thursday, gold mining company Newmont $NEM ( ▲ 2.18% ) fell 5.35% in after-hours trading.
Financials: Newmont reported earnings of $1.71 per share in the past quarter and revenue of $5.5 billion. Both were better than expected.
Final Thoughts: The problem was that Newmont warned investors on Thursday that free cash flow might be an issue in the current quarter.
