Google parent Alphabet $GOOGL ( ▼ 0.85% ) jumped 4.82% in after-hours trading on Thursday after posting better-than-expected financial earnings results.
Financials: Alphabet reported earnings of $2.81 per share and revenue of $90.2 billion in the past quarter; both were better than expected.
Powering the Story: Despite new AI-based search competitors, Alphabet reassured investors that its search business was healthy. Revenue for search grew to $50 billion. CEO Sundar Pichai said the search business is seeing good engagement from AI Overviews.

Intel Confronts "Uncertainty"
Despite posting good financial earnings results on Thursday, Intel $INTC ( ▼ 1.18% ) fell 5.12% in after-hours trading.
Financials: Intel reported earnings of 13 cents per share and revenue of $2.41 billion in the past quarter; both were better than expected.
Powering the Story: The company’s outlook for the current quarter disappointed investors. CFO David Zinsner said the "current macro environment is creating elevated uncertainty across the industry.”
Final Thoughts: It’s a bad look for Intel as the company is trying to stage a comeback.
Skechers Withdraws Financial Outlook
The footwear and apparel company Skechers USA $SKX ( ▼ 1.36% ) sank 6.71% in after-hours trading on Thursday after posting mixed financial earnings results.
Financials: Skechers reported earnings of $1.34 per share in the past quarter, which was better than expected. Revenue was only $2.41 billion, which was lower than expected.
Powering the Story: The company withdrew its previous financial outlook due to new global trade policies (aka Tariffs).
