Moderna Targets June For Vaccine Approval For Kids Under 6
Moderna (Nasdaq: MRNA) wants to submit its Covid-19 vaccine for children under 6 years old to the Food and Drug Administration for review by June.
Details: The comments were made by Paul Burton, the company’s chief medical officer, on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday. Burton also said that the company was planning for a vaccine booster against the omicron variant.
Background: There is still no vaccine that is approved for children under 5 at this time. Getting approval first for this age group would be good for Moderna.
Numbers: Shares of Modern are down 61% in the past six months.
